Annie and Emmett’s Homeowner Story: Accessible Guidance Every Step of the Way Streamlines Homebuilding Process

Annie and Emmett had planned to build a new home for ages. They always loved the idea of creating something from the ground up rather than searching and searching for something already built that fit their needs, never being fully satisfied with the options available. It would be the first time that they ever went through the process, but they had a vision for their home and they were uncompromising when it came to seeing that vision through. Luckily they found Schumacher Homes.

After discovering their ideal property - a wooded, 3-acre homesite in Ashland - the next step was the home itself. They had spoken to other home builders in the area, but were never quite sold on their designs, processes, or prices.

They had heard about Schumacher Homes from the billboards placed around town, which ultimately inspired them into full force due diligence. They spent time interviewing a few Schumacher homeowners, toured several model homes in Ashland and other nearby locations, attended a Construction Open House, and even came to a Meet The Builder event.

Her knowledge and experience helped to truly visualize the home that they yearned to call their own.

It’s always helpful for us to hear the choices that our homeowners make in their finishes. For Emmett and Annie, those details included less wall-to-wall carpeting and more hard surfaces. Clearly their interior design preferences leaned toward the contemporary. Ultimately, they chose to go with laminate flooring and Emmett told us that they couldn’t have been happier with their decision, especially as it made their house a bit more pet-proof.

Compared to the other builders with whom they had spoken, Annie and Emmett found that the pricing of the upgrade options that they chose to implement were superior with Schumacher Homes. It’s now been over a year since Annie and Emmett moved into their Eagles Nest home and their love for it hasn’t changed.
