The exterior of this home showcases all the elements that are synonymous with the Modern Farmhouse style. Board and batten steel siding wraps the home and is accented with black-wrapped windows and natural wood accents.
The Modern Farmhouse design elements flow from the exterior to the interior of the home. Black and gold light fixtures highlight clean lines and simple features on both floors of this two-story model. A key design aspect of the home is a theme of navy and white tones mixed with warm woods throughout the model. On several walls, there are either 3D wood accents or tile to help add another layer of depth to the space and create a focal point for the room.
Our designers enhanced the open concept of this floor plan by increasing the ceiling height of the first floor to 10’ and adding a bump out to the rear of the home. This extra space was then converted into a dining room to increase the flow of traffic from the kitchen to the great room.
The luxurious kitchen is ready with a large walk-in pantry, messy kitchen and plenty of counter space. In the middle of the kitchen is a spacious 10’ island complete with a 12” eat ledge; a perfect space for everything from entertaining to homework. To tie the space together is a dramatic solid surface backsplash that elevates the Modern Farmhouse style in the kitchen.
Extra storage and counter space are also found in the attached messy kitchen which is adorned with more casual finishes. Crisp white tile is laid in a herringbone pattern to help accent the navy blue cabinets.
On the second floor of the home are two additional bedrooms, a bathroom, the owner’s retreat, a laundry room and a second office. The loft in the original plan was converted into an additional office space that is a great multipurpose learning environment for families. This space is accented with sliding barn doors to help bring the Modern Farmhouse style to the second floor.
