American Tradition: Comfort, harmony, and order are the foundations of traditional design. Consistency is a crucial design directive; furnishings match and nothing is jarring to the senses, thus creating a calm, orderly environment. Detailed millwork is revered and present in most areas. Wood tones are deep and rich, and colors are calm and soothing.

Coastal: Coastal aesthetics are light, bright, breezy, and filled with texture. Crisp white is the foundation for this friendly style. Pair it with strong, bold accents of blue and grey to add depth and visual strength. Neutral tones appear in furnishings and accessories, while a wide variety of textures provides a necessary weight to the design. The goal of this style is to create a welcoming, comfortable space.

Craftsman: Simplicity of form, use of natural materials, and a focus on craftsmanship. Stone accents and millwork are commonly used; built-in shelving and window seats are popular elements. Fireplaces are commanding focal points, and mixed metals are often used, as they balance the medium-brown wood tones used in most Craftsman homes.

French Country: French country is best described as comfortable elegance, incorporating traditional elements in a relaxed way. Furniture is curved and carved, while distressed finishes reduce formality. A refined style where neutral color palettes are often layered with multiple patterns.

Modern: Modern exteriors bring a sleek sturdiness to a home’s appeal. Ornate columns and adorned windows typical in other exteriors are replaced by indulgent minimalism that makes for an understated statement. Geometric shapes placed in intentional asymmetry evoke clean luxury, especially when made with materials like wood, stone, and concrete.

Modern Farmhouse: Simplicity leads the charge when it comes to the elements of farmhouse style. Classic wood details, such as painted or stained wood lap trim, are accented by dark iron hardware and lighting. The color palette of the farmhouse style traditionally stays within white, black, grey and beige tones. Clean, warm, and inviting, the modern farmhouse is a family favorite.

Modern Hill Country: With an emphasis on simplicity of materials and detail in construction, modern hill country design has high ceilings and an abundance of windows. The rustic, simple nature of this style brings the outdoors in. Warm wood tones layer with modern touches, making this a flexible style that can accommodate a variety of interior preferences.

If you are looking to create a home where the exterior design elements flow into the indoor spaces and create a seamless transition of design, then our Collection Books will help complete the overall vision for your home.
